The Ministry of Trade imposed a fine of 1 million 806 thousand 170 lira on the supermarket that sold peppers, which it declared at a low price, at an exorbitant price.

The Ministry of Trade announced that it will impose an administrative fine of 1 million 806 thousand 170 lira on a supermarket as a result of inspections initiated following social media posts regarding pepper prices.

The Ministry determined that the product was traded at a higher price in the Antalya Market during the inspections. It was found that some producers, brokers, and intermediary firms declared lower prices for the products to evade financial obligations.

Teams that identified that the pepper reported to the Market Registration System at a low price was being sold at exorbitant prices in the market initiated action against the mentioned supermarket.
