The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack carried out by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen on King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh, in which 12 people lost their lives and 309 were injured. In the statement emphasizing that the attack violated international law, condolences were offered to the people of Saudi Arabia, while Turkey's support for the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity was reiterated.

A written statement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the attack by Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen on King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia.

In the statement, drawing attention to the fact that these attacks, which deliberately target civilian infrastructure and innocent civilians, clearly violate international law and the principles of international humanitarian law, the following statements were included: "We most strongly condemn the targeting once again of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, by the Houthis. May God have mercy on those who lost their lives in the attack, we wish a speedy recovery to the injured, and we offer our condolences to the people of Saudi Arabia."

In the statement, which emphasized that acts that pose a threat to regional security and stability and harm the international community's joint efforts to establish peace must be immediately ended, Turkey's support for Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and territorial integrity was reiterated.

12 DEAD, 309 INJURED

The General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia (GACA) had announced that 12 people lost their lives and 309 people were injured in yesterday's attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

It was reported that the injured were taken under treatment in hospitals, and that there were also those among them in serious condition.
