A new development has occurred regarding Pınar Peyman Mersinli, the mother of 16-year-old Isa Aras Mersinli, who caused the deaths of 9 people in an armed attack on a middle school in Kahramanmaraş. The mother Mersinli, who had previously been released, was taken into custody again and referred to the courthouse.
Pınar Peyman Mersinli, who is a teacher, was arrested by the court she was brought before on the charge of "causing death through negligence" and sent to prison. It was reported that the extensive investigation into the incident is ongoing.

On the other hand, according to information obtained by Yeni Şafak from the investigation file, the school counselor Ejder İ. of Ayser Çalık Middle School attempted to contact the family to discuss the student's psychological state. However, it is alleged that the mother, Pınar Peyman Mersinli, rejected this request for a meeting and hung up the phone. It was further claimed that the family made an assessment that their child was "excessively intelligent" and therefore experiencing adjustment problems. It is alleged that this approach is reflected both in the father's statements to the prosecutor's office and in texts reportedly written by the attacker.

An armed attack had been carried out on Ayser Çalık Middle School located in the Onikişubat district of Kahramanmaraş. In the attack carried out by 16-year-old Isa Aras Mersinli, 9 people, including one teacher, lost their lives, and 17 people were injured. It was determined that the attacker used 5 weapons belonging to his father, who was at home during the incident. Following the developments, the father, Uğur Mersinli, who was taken into custody, was arrested.
