The increase in the Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV) before the New Year has been announced. Accordingly, the revaluation rate for the Motor Vehicle Tax has risen by 43.93%. The same rate of increase has also been applied to the Special Communication Tax.

New tax rates were published in the Official Gazette before the New Year. The decision included new excise tax (ÖTV), value-added tax (KDV), property tax, and motor vehicle tax (MTV) notifications.

43.93% INCREASE IN MTV

Accordingly, the revaluation rate for the Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV) was increased by 43.93% in 2025. The lowest motor vehicle tax for new vehicles increased from 3,359 lira to 4,834 lira.

INCREASED TO 5,803 LIRA

Moreover, for vehicles with a cylinder volume below 1300, the highest motor vehicle tax increased from 4,032 lira to 5,803 lira.
