Tron's founder Justin Sun became the main supporter of Donald Trump's World Liberty Financial crypto project by making a record investment of 30 million dollars. This investment strengthened the project's position in the global financial market and triggered payments to Trump and his family.
Tron Founder Becomes the Largest Supporter of the Project by Acquiring 2 Billion WLFI Tokens
One of the leading figures in the cryptocurrency world, Justin Sun, invested 30 million dollars in the new initiative of the new US President Donald Trump, World Liberty Financial. The founder of Tron, Sun, became the largest investor in the project by purchasing 2 billion WLFI tokens at a unit price of 0.015 dollars.
Sun expressed his excitement about being the leading investor in the World Liberty Financial project in a recent statement on the social media platform X, saying, "TRON is committed to being a pioneer in innovation and to making America great again."
According to Etherscan data, this large purchase made through Sun's wallet, who operates the HTX crypto exchange, brought the project's total sales to 52 million dollars. However, this figure only corresponds to 17% of the 300 million dollar target.
The WLFI tokens, launched in October, initially did not attract the expected interest due to sales restrictions for investors outside the US and accredited investors in the US. The fact that the tokens were non-transferable was also among the factors that caused investors to stay away from the project.
According to the project's details, DT Marks DEFI LLC, owned by Trump, will have the right to receive 75% of the profits when the project reaches 30 million dollars in revenue.
Zak Folkman, co-founder of World Liberty Financial, stated regarding the matter, "This large token purchase is a sign of our project's early success. We have received significant investments recently, and our platform is progressing towards our goal of providing more free and fair financing."
On the platform, Donald Trump serves as the chief crypto advocate, while Trump's children Eric, Barron, and Donald Trump Jr. hold positions as Web3 ambassadors. Before being elected president, Trump had promised to make America the world's crypto capital and to revisit regulations in the sector.
