The new foreign minister of Syria has been announced.

The temporary government in Syria has appointed Asad Hasan El Shibani as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

NEW FOREIGN MINISTER ANNOUNCED IN SYRIA

Syrian state media announced that the temporary government in Syria, led by Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), has appointed Asad Hasan El-Shaybani as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

WHO IS SYRIAN FOREIGN MINISTER ASAAD HASAN EL SHAYBANI?

Asad Hasan El-Shaybani was born in 1987 in Hasakah province. He completed his university education in 2009, graduating from the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Damascus University.

Since the beginning of the Syrian revolution in 2011, he has participated in and witnessed all its stages. He was involved in the establishment of the Syrian Salvation Government and founded the Department of Political Affairs. He worked in the field of humanitarian aid, establishing significant relationships with the United Nations and its agencies, and facilitated humanitarian aid efforts in northwestern Syria.

As part of his postgraduate education, he obtained a master's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Sabahattin Zaim University in Turkey in 2022. He is currently continuing his doctoral studies in the same field as of 2024. He is also receiving advanced training in Business Administration (MBA).
