With the resignation of Mustafa Nedim Yamalı, the Ankara Deputy of the Future Party, the number of deputies in the Future-Saadet group in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) has decreased to 19. According to the internal regulations, political parties have the right to establish a group in the Assembly if they have at least 20 deputies. Following Yamalı's resignation, the Saadet-Future Group's parliamentary group will decrease.
DEVA FORMULA
The backstage of the Future and Saadet Parties has accelerated the search for a new formula to prevent the group from dissolving. According to a report by Altan Sancar from Sözcü, efforts have begun to implement the DEVA Party formula.
Before the group disbanded, discussions were ongoing between the Saadet, Future, and DEVA Parties regarding the idea of forming a roof party. It was planned to increase the number of deputies to 29 and for Ali Fazıl Kasap, who supports from the CHP, to return to his party.
THE PROCESS MAY GAIN MOMENTUM
Mehmet Emin Ekmen, Deputy Chairman of the DEVA Party, stated that the negotiations have reached an important stage. Ekmen noted that Yamalı's resignation has created a new situation and emphasized that the process may gain momentum.
Ekmen also stated, "It is certain that there will be sensitivity regarding whether this resignation will lead to other resignations. We observe that this situation is being processed quickly in the Assembly records. We believe that the desire to rebuild the disbanded group will accelerate the process," he said.
