Mosques, cemevis, places of worship, associations, AFAD temporary accommodation centers, families of martyrs, and combat/disabled veterans will also be excluded from the regulation. The last source limit in the agricultural activities group has not been changed either. Any consumer engaged in agricultural activities will not be affected by this regulation. 3% OF SUBSCRIBERS WILL BE AFFECTEDThe number of residential subscribers is around 40 million. There are approximately 1.2 million residential subscribers with high consumption. In this case, only 3% of all residential subscribers will be affected by this regulation. For industrial consumers and those in the Public and Private Services Sector and Other (Public/Private/Other) subscriber groups, the limit has been set at 15,000 kWh per year. According to this limit, it is estimated that approximately 20,000 consumers in the Industrial subscriber group and about 565,000 in the Public/Private/Other group will exceed the limit. MINISTER BAYRAKTAR HAD ANNOUNCEDMinister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar had announced that subsidized prices would be removed for residential subscribers with high electricity consumption and that these subscribers would pay for electricity at real costs starting from February. For consumption above 417 kilowatt-hours (1,050 TL) per month, the bills will reflect the real costs. 1.2 million residential subscribers will be affected by the regulation. It is stated that the bills of subscribers exceeding the limit may double.
