The experienced left-back Umut Meraş, whose contract with Beşiktaş has ended, announced that he has left the club.

In his statement on Instagram bidding farewell to the club, Meraş said the following;

"Dear Beşiktaş Community,

During the three seasons we spent together, I worked hard to represent Beşiktaş, with whom we won two cups, in the best possible way in every match I had the chance to wear the jersey.

I always fought for Beşiktaş with a strong character, without compromising my principles, knowing the weight of the place I was in.
