The Israeli army announced that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in an operation in Gaza, while U.S. President Joe Biden stated, "DNA test results confirm his death." As attention turns to an official statement from Hamas, mosques in the West Bank announced, "The holy sons of Gaza! Yahya Sinwar, one of the great commanders of our homeland, has become a martyr."

Hamas announced in August that Yahya Sinwar was appointed as the new Political Bureau Chief, replacing Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in the Iranian capital Tehran. Israeli media reported as breaking news that Hamas leader Sinwar has been killed.

NETANYAHU: SINWAR IS DEAD BUT OUR MISSION IS NOT COMPLETE

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also announced that Yahya Sinwar has been killed. Netanyahu claimed that Sinwar's death offers a chance for peace in the Middle East, stating, "The war in Gaza is not over, and Israel will continue its attacks until the hostages are returned." In a video statement, the Israeli leader said, "Today we settled the score. Today evil took a blow, but our mission is not yet complete."

"SINWAR RUINED LIVES"

Addressing the families of the hostages held by Hamas, Netanyahu said, "This is a significant moment in this war. We will continue with all our strength until your loved ones, our loved ones, return home." Speaking to the people of Gaza, who have been under attack for over a year, Netanyahu stated, "Sinwar ruined lives. Hamas will not be able to govern Gaza. This is an opportunity for the people of Gaza to be freed from Hamas's oppression."

BIDEN: DNA TEST RESULTS CONFIRM

U.S. President Joe Biden stated, "DNA test results confirm that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is dead. Today is a great day for the U.S., Israel, and the entire world." Biden announced that he would speak with Netanyahu shortly about ending the war and bringing the hostages home. Biden said that Hamas no longer has the capacity to carry out attacks.

EXPECTED STATEMENT FROM HAMAS

Following Israel's announcement, the expected statement from Hamas also came. Hamas sources stated, "There are signals that Sinwar may be dead."

SINWAR'S MARTYRDOM ANNOUNCED FROM MOSQUES

While waiting for an official statement from Hamas to confirm whether Sinwar is truly dead, a notable development occurred. From mosques in the West Bank, an announcement was made: "O noble sons of Gaza! Yahya Sinwar, one of the great commanders of our homeland, has become a martyr."
