In the 3rd week of the UEFA Champions League, Galatasaray, facing Lille away, won a penalty with Victor Osimhen, but after a VAR warning, the match referee reviewed the incident and overturned the penalty decision.

Galatasaray faced Lille away on matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League.

GALATASARAY WON A PENALTY

Galatasaray won a penalty with Osimhen in the 27th minute. Yunus Akgün sent a great pass behind the defense and left Osimhen one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Osimhen went down after Berke Özer's intervention, and the referee pointed to the penalty spot.

PENALTY CANCELLED AFTER VAR WARNING

After the penalty decision, referee Rade Obrenovic went to the pitchside monitor for a VAR review. Reviewing the incident, Obrenovic changed his decision and cancelled the penalty awarded in favor of Galatasaray. The game resumed from where it had stopped.
