The person for whom an arrest warrant has been issued, Batuhan Karadeniz, stated what he will do when he returns to Turkey.

There has been a new development regarding former football player Batuhan Karadeniz, one of the 23 people who were issued a detention order in an illegal betting operation, but could not be detained because he fled abroad.

"OUR NECKS ARE THIN AS A HAIR"

In a live broadcast, Karadeniz responded to the question, "Is the arrest warrant correct?" by saying, "I don't know, I will check when I return. What I'm doing where I am is legal, I am not playing with Turkish money. We will see when I return, our necks are thin as a hair."

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had initiated an investigation for the crime of "encouraging illegal betting" on social media. In the investigation regarding the allegation of encouraging illegal betting, the identities of 23 suspects, including social media influencers and some famous names, were determined.

Among the suspects alleged to have appeared in illegal betting advertisements were singer Serdar Ortaç, presenter Mehmet Ali Erbil, former football player Batuhan Karadeniz, social media influencers İbrahim Yılmaz, Muzaffer Zorbey Erkoçlar, Sefa Caner Sarıçam, and Russian and Turkish citizen Aleksander Mensikof.
