A person got trapped under the tram at Beyazıt station of the Kabataş-Bağcılar Tram Line in Istanbul. The male individual lost his life at the scene of the incident.

TRAPPED UNDER THE TRAM

According to the information received, a person at Beyazıt station of the Kabataş-Bağcılar Tramway Line got trapped under the tram entering the station. Upon notification, police, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area.

LOST THEIR LIFE AT THE SCENE

Upon examination by the health teams, it was determined that the person trapped under the tram had lost their life. The identity of the male individual, whose identity has not yet been determined, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute after the examinations. The police continue their investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, a statement was made about the incident on Metro Istanbul's social media account. The statement said, "Due to a passenger jumping onto the track on the T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar Tramway Line, services are being carried out between Kabataş-Sultanahmet and Yusufpaşa-Bağcılar stations." In the second post made after the completion of the work at the station, it was stated that the services returned to normal.
