A photo taken in April 2022 in front of a sign that says "Welcome" in Turkish and Kurdish at the entrance of the Karayazı district of Erzurum sparked a significant debate on social media. The four teachers featured in the photo drew the ire of some users with their post. Social media influencer Ece Ronay also joined this lynching campaign, using inappropriate expressions towards the teachers.
