CHP Akçakoca District Chairman Tuğrul Abanoz removed Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's photo from the party building, claiming that Kılıçdaroğlu led the party astray and served the AK Party.
At the CHP Akçakoca party building, a group of party members removed Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's photo from the wall.

District Chairman Tuğrul Abanoz stated in his statement, "As the CHP Akçakoca District Organization, we accept that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has led our party ideologically and strategically astray not only in Akçakoca but across all of Turkey on behalf of our people, and we are removing his symbol from our walls. This decision is a demand for an honest and correct stance in politics, for the people's pursuit of truth. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's attitudes clearly amount to nothing more than carrying water to the AK Party's mill. These discourses and policies harm the country's democratic future. We stand not for the interests of the AK Party but for the people's will and the nation's benefit. We are removing this picture. And if absolute nullity comes, you will find a new administration and chairman to hang your picture back," as he removed Kılıçdaroğlu's photo from the wall.
