REALISTIC REPORT SPURRED POLICE ACTION 

Students of Erzurum Technical University (ETU) called the 112 Emergency Call Center, reporting that a fight had broken out between two groups in the Faculty of Arts canteen and that there were injuries. Following the report, a large number of official and civilian police teams were dispatched to the faculty.

APPLAUSE AND CAKE INSTEAD OF A FIGHT 

When the teams arrived at the scene and entered the canteen, they encountered students pretending to be fighting. Shortly after, the students celebrated the police's day with applause and revealed a cake that had been prepared.

During the cake cutting, the team leader thanked the students for this surprise made for the 181st anniversary of the police organization, saying, “I thank each and every one of you for the national feelings you have expressed.”

Furkan Öğet, a research assistant from the ETU Faculty of Sports Sciences and a national athlete who organized the event, stated that a detailed plan was made for the report to be completely realistic. Öğet expressed, “When you come to ETU, the homeland is indivisible, there is no fight; here, only cakes are shared, and joy is shared.”

After the cake cutting, students and police shared refreshments and chatted together. The event concluded with souvenir photos being taken.
