THEY SAW THE INJURIES ON THE WOMAN'S FACEUpon receiving the report, the police went to the address in the Bondi suburb and took the statement of the woman who had visible injuries on her face. They then arrested Jimmy Maladina, the Minister Responsible for Petroleum in Papua New Guinea. In a written statement, Maladina expressed that he is aware of the seriousness of the situation and is cooperating with the authorities. "WILL RESIGN FROM HIS POSITION"In a separate statement where Minister Jimmy Maladina emphasized that "violence perpetrated by a man or a woman cannot be tolerated," he announced that he will resign from his position to the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, James Marape. Maladina, who has been released on bail, will have his trial on July 9th.
