The lifeless bodies of the mother and son were taken out of the water at midnight.

A great tragedy occurred in the pond located in the rural area of Deliktaş village, connected to the Karesi district of Balıkesir. Emirhan Çakır, a 16-year-old who is claimed to be disabled and takes care of the sheep, entered the water around 8:00 pm to cool down.

ENTERED THE WATER IN PANIC FOR HER SON

Gülnar Çakır, the mother who could not hear from her son, learned that her son entered the pond after a while. In a panic to find her son, Gülnar Çakır also disappeared in the pond.

DIVERS SEARCHED FOR TRACES IN THE POND

With the calls of the residents in the region to the 112 Emergency Call Center, the Balıkesir fire brigade and AFAD personnel went to the scene. Divers who entered the water searched for traces of the mother and son until midnight.

LIFELESS BODIES WERE TAKEN OUT HOURS LATER

After midnight, the lifeless bodies of the mother and son were taken out of the water as a result of the long-lasting efforts of the fire brigade teams. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
