PERMANENT CEASEFIRE AND HUMANITARIAN AID DISCUSSED

In the meeting, which evaluated concrete steps that could be taken to achieve a permanent ceasefire and deliver more humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, Hamas' constructive and positive attitude during the negotiation process was emphasized, while it was noted that Israel's introduction of new conditions to the proposed text supported by UN Security Council resolutions has made the ceasefire process more difficult. The concerns about Israel's ongoing attacks leading to a massacre were also expressed during the meeting.

It was stated that the National Intelligence Organization has continued its contacts with the parties and all relevant actors since the beginning of the process to achieve a ceasefire and played an important role. It was also noted that MIT has conducted intensive diplomatic efforts with Hamas leadership, Israel, Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, among other actors.
