President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş prayed at the Arafat Foundation. In his prayer, which is one of the most important duties of Hajj, Erbaş also used expressions regarding the massacres carried out by Israel in Gaza.
"THE CRIES OF THOSE BURNED ALIVE IN GAZA ARE TEARING AT OUR CONSCIENCES"
In his prayer at Arafat, Ali Erbaş said, "O Allah, make our geography a land of security and peace. Help our statesmen who work for the prosperity and peace of our country and for the peace and safety of humanity, protect them from all kinds of dangers and traps. You entrusted the earth to your faithful servants so that they may make it safe. We could not protect your trust. Wars, crises, and turmoil have surrounded humanity. The ruthless oppressors are ravaging the world. On the earth you adorned with blessings, tiny babies are dying of hunger. Mothers are left without children, fathers are left helpless.
O Allah, help the oppressed. From the lands of Islam, pain, tears, and cries are rising. In Palestine and many other lands of the oppressed, our brothers are subjected to unimaginable atrocities. Do not leave the cries of the oppressed to the oppressors, O Allah. The cries for help of helpless Muslim women in the dungeons of the oppressors are breaking hearts. O Lord, shower us with patience. Make our feet steadfast on your path. And help us against the denying communities. Make the oppressors and their supporters miserable. Expose the traitors to disgrace," he said.
"WE ARE EXPERIENCING THE EXCITEMENT OF GATHERING AT ARAFAT"
Expressing that they are experiencing the excitement of gathering at Arafat, Ali Erbaş said, "You have granted us the opportunity to meet in this place that we have desired for years, we thank you. Our Lord, who illuminates our path with the Quran, informs us that you are calling us to Hajj with the tongue of Prophet Ibrahim. We obeyed your command, we donned the ihram, and we came to your presence with the cries of 'Labbayk, Allahümme Labbayk, Labbayk, la sharika laka Labbayk.' We sought refuge in your grace, we could not worship, we came to your mercy.
Do not turn us away from your presence, O Lord, accept our intentions and our worship, O my Lord. We send blessings upon your beloved Prophet Muhammad, whom you made a guide for people. Make us a nation worthy of Him, O my Lord. Raise us under the banner of our beloved Prophet on the Day of Resurrection, O my Lord. Grant peace to those who make your Messenger their guiding principle, O Lord. We greet millions of Muslims who follow the path of Prophet Ibrahim and our mother Hagar, shedding tears. Make our greeting a means for the salvation of the Ummah of Muhammad, O Lord," he expressed.
