Ahmet Çolak, who was serving as a prosecutor at the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse, requested to resign from his position after being appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Çaycuma district in Zonguldak with the latest decree. Çolak was also the prosecutor in the case against Dilan Polat and Ekrem İmamoğlu, which involved charges of 'foolishness.'

Among the 16 suspects, including the couple Dilan and Engin Polat, former Istanbul Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor Ahmet Çolak, who is conducting an investigation into allegations of money laundering and initiated an investigation against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor CHP's Ekrem İmamoğlu for "Fool," has been appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Çaycuma district in Zonguldak with the latest published Judges and Prosecutors Decree.

REQUESTED TO BE RELIEVED FROM DUTY

Çaycuma Chief Public Prosecutor Ahmet Çolak applied to the Judges and Prosecutors Board to request his resignation from duty. It has been learned that Çolak requested his resignation due to family reasons.

NEW APPOINTMENT EXPECTED

If the HSK accepts Ahmet Çolak's excuse petition, it is expected that a new decree will be published in the coming days to make a new appointment to the Çaycuma Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
