The real effective exchange rate index increased by 2.19 points to 67.03 in November 2024, based on the CPI.
According to the provisional data published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the real effective exchange rate index based on 2003=100 rose to 67.03 with an increase of 2.19 points compared to the previous month. The index was at 64.84 in October 2024. THE ANNUAL VALUE OF THE TL INCREASED BY 11.55%During this period, the real effective exchange rate index based on the PPI increased from 94.50 to 96.42, with a rise of 1.92 points.
The value of the Turkish lira increased by 11.55 points in terms of CPI compared to the same month last year, and by 8.66 points in terms of PPI.
Thus, the real value of the Turkish lira according to the CPI reached its highest level since February 2021.
