The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has determined the amounts of the recovery participation fee (GEKAP) to be collected from certain products in 2025.
The Ministry's "Communiqué on the Amounts of Recovery Participation Fees to be Collected in Accordance with the Environmental Law No. 2872" was published in today's Official Gazette. According to the communiqué, the amounts of recovery participation fees to be collected from certain products have been increased based on the revaluation rate of 43.93% determined for the year 2024.
Accordingly, starting from January 1, 2025, the amounts of recovery participation fees to be collected from certain products are as follows: plastic bag 86 kuruş, tire 27 lira, zinc-carbon batteries 27 lira, mineral oil 6 lira 70 kuruş, vegetable oil 6 lira 70 kuruş, medicine 14 kuruş, beverage packaging up to 0.33 liters in plastic packaging 8.6 kuruş. The aforementioned communiqué will be valid from January 1, 2025.
