Last season, FIFA-licensed Turkish referee Halil Umut Meler, who was attacked with punches during the Ankaragücü-Rizespor match, will officiate the match between Al Shabab and Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. The match, which will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, is being held at the special invitation of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and with the approval of the Central Refereeing Committee.

Last season, FIFA-licensed Turkish referee Halil Umut Meler, who was assaulted by a punch from Ankaragücü President Faruk Koca during the Ankaragücü-Rizespor match, received a special invitation.

Meler will officiate the match between Al Shabab and Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday, November 30, 2024, following a special invitation from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the approval of the Central Refereeing Committee.

THE MATCH ON NOVEMBER 30

The match will start at 20:00 TRT at the Al-Shabab Club Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with Halil Umut Meler's assistants being Kerem Ersoy and İbrahim Çağlar Uyarcan. Bastien Dankert from the German Football Federation will serve as VAR, while Murat Tuğberk Curbay will act as AVAR.

In the Saudi Pro League, Al Hilal, with 28 points, is in 2nd place behind the leader Al Ittihad, who has 30 points. Al Shabab is in 4th place with 22 points and a lower goal difference than Al Nassr.
