The Turkish automotive market had a dynamic August in 2025. Sales reached 82,215 units, marking an increase of 18.66% compared to the same period last year. Renault was the market leader, while Tesla climbed to second place among all brands with its rapid rise.

The most talked-about model in August was the Tesla Model Y. With sales of 8,730 units, the Model Y not only took the lead in the electric vehicle segment but also secured the second place in the entire automotive market. The continued demand despite the increase in special consumption tax (ÖTV) once again demonstrated that Tesla has become one of the most reasonable options in Turkey in terms of 'price/performance'. In June, it had taken the lead in the entire automotive market with a sales volume of 7,235 units.

After the condition of vehicle delivery within 45 days was introduced, Tesla, which conducted its sales based on its existing inventory, reached figures in August that indicate nearly half of the production from the Gigafactory in Berlin was sent to Turkey in almost one month.

The sales record in June caught the attention of the company's owner, Elon Musk, who shared a post on Twitter regarding Tesla's leadership in Turkey.
