The requirement of KPSS for teacher appointments is being lifted.

While millions of teacher candidates are waiting to be appointed, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin met with journalists and shared a change that will take place in 2025.

SHARED DETAILS OF THE NEW SYSTEM

Announcing that the KPSS requirement will be lifted for teacher candidates starting from the new year, Minister Tekin stated that teachers will not take the Public Personnel Selection Exam and shared details about the new system that will be applied in appointments.

"WE ORGANIZED AN EXAM UNDER THE NAME AGS"

In statements to Hürriyet newspaper, Minister Tekin said, "There will be no KPSS for our teacher candidate friends in 2025. We organized an exam called 'Academy Entrance Exam' (AGS) with ÖSYM. It will be held for the first time on July 13. Based on the results, we will initiate the process of entering the National Education Academy.

"THERE ARE SPECIFIC DIFFERENTIATIONS IN THE CONTENT OF THE EXAM"

After the training at the Academy, we will employ our teacher friends. There are specific differentiations in the content of the exam. One of the significant differences of AGS from KPSS is that the programs approved by our Board of Education will be part of AGS," he stated.
