Following the 'retrospective' statements of the Chairman of the Future Party, Ahmet Davutoğlu, the resignation of Ankara Deputy Nedim Yamalı led to the official end of the Saadet-Future group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
NEGOTIATIONS HAVE STARTED FOR A NEW ROOF FORMULA
It was stated that negotiations are being held for the Saadet, Future, and DEVA Parties to unite under a roof party for a new roof formula.
WILL THE NEW WELFARE PARTY BE INCLUDED IN THE ROOF?
While it is claimed that the New Welfare Party (YRP), which has 5 deputies in the Assembly, will also be included in the roof, an explanation came from YRP Deputy Chairman Kılıç regarding the issue. Kılıç made important statements at a press conference held at the party's headquarters after the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting. Responding to questions from the press, Kılıç said that there have been some initiatives towards forming a stronger roof in the Assembly regarding the alliance with the Saadet, Future, and DEVA parties.
"THERE HAVE BEEN MOVEMENTS BETWEEN THE PARTIES"
Kılıç stated that there has not yet been any concrete development on this matter, saying, "There have been movements between the parties, visits were made to get to know each other, but no clear, concrete proposal has reached anyone from anyone. If a new initiative door is to be opened for Turkey to raise the voice of society, to voice its needs, and to warn the government more effectively, the New Welfare Party will evaluate its position in line with the incoming proposals," he said.
