A major threat towards the Paris Olympics has been thwarted. French police have arrested a TV chef who is alleged to be working for Russian intelligence. Documents found at the suspect's house indicate that he was working for the FSB and had prepared a plan to disrupt France during the Olympics. The incident has heightened concerns about the security of the Games. Authorities are taking strict security measures.

A major threat to the Paris Olympics was thwarted at the last minute. French police uncovered a serious plan targeting the upcoming Olympics and arrested an agent allegedly working for Russian intelligence. It was alleged that this individual planned a large-scale incident, particularly during the opening ceremony.

The apprehended Russian citizen suspect was known in France as a renowned TV chef. The suspect had been living in France since 2010 and had worked in prestigious restaurants and appeared on television programs.

French intelligence had been monitoring the suspect for months. In May of last year, a phone conversation between the suspect and an intelligence officer in Russia was intercepted. In this conversation, the suspect used a threatening expression, saying, "The French will witness an opening ceremony like they have never seen before." A raid was conducted at the suspect's home in Paris on Sunday. The documents found at the residence indicated that the suspect was working for the Russian secret service, FSB, and had prepared a major plan to disrupt France during the Olympics.

This incident has heightened concerns about the security of the Paris Olympics. French authorities are taking unprecedented security measures for the Olympics. Over 60,000 police officers and soldiers will be on duty, and advanced security systems will be used. The French Minister of the Interior announced that over a million people have undergone security screenings prior to the Olympics.
