Yandex plans to invest 400 million dollars to localize information technology products and expand its reach in Turkey. According to a statement from the company, the Russia-based multinational technology brand Yandex aims to strengthen its position in the Turkish digital market and prove itself as a long-term, reliable stakeholder by continuously developing products and services suitable for the local market.

"WE TRUST IN TURKEY'S DIGITAL POTENTIAL"

In the statement, Yandex Search Turkey CEO Alexander Popovskiy expressed their strong belief in Turkey's digital potential, stating, "We plan to invest over 400 million dollars in developing information technology products in Turkey over the next three years and provide employment for hundreds of people."

Popovskiy noted that Yandex is determined to establish permanent business relationships in Turkey and that a series of products specifically designed for Turkey will be launched soon.

YANDEX HAS DEVELOPED NEW PRODUCTS FOR TURKEY

Popovskiy said, "Our goal is to add value to Turkey as a whole and to build on the successes we have achieved in the local market in previous years. With this approach, we have focused on developing hyper-localized products that meet the specific needs of users in Turkey. We will soon introduce our AI-powered search product specifically designed for Turkey, as well as other fully localized services." He noted that Yandex's approach to competing with global players strongly emphasizes local language, culture, and the needs of local users, stating that many global companies adhere to a "one size fits all" approach, while they have adopted the understanding of "be local."

"THE TURKISH ECONOMY CONTINUES TO DEVELOP"

Popovskiy emphasized his excitement about the progress Turkey has made in promoting more competition in the technology sector, stating, "Despite challenges, the Turkish economy continues to grow and develop. With one of the top 10 internet usage rates in the world, Turkey offers an efficient ground for innovation, and we aim to contribute to Turkey's digital environment."

Alexander Popovskiy expressed satisfaction with the Turkish government's determination to promote "healthy competition" that benefits businesses and end-users who obtain better and more innovative products in the technology market and digital economy.

"USER EXPERIENCE WILL BE ENHANCED"

Popovskiy noted that they plan to enhance the user experience in Turkey by adding new features, including information specific to local cities, to navigation services. He stated regarding Yandex's role in supporting Turkish businesses, "We are pleased to see that our B2B solutions help local businesses grow. This includes all these services, including our already well-known digital advertising products and the recently launched Yandex Maps API, which serves over 300 Turkish companies."
