The President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, Fatih Karahan, raised the TCMB's expectation to 44% in the last inflation report of the year. Civil servants and civil servant retirees will receive a 6% collective bargaining increase in January 2025. If the TCMB's expectations are realized, the inflation difference that civil servants and civil servant retirees will receive will be 4.95%.
If the inflation at the end of the year is 44%, the total inflation difference and collective bargaining increase to be given to civil servants and civil servant retirees in the new year is estimated to be around 11.25%.
