The scandals of the newborn gang are never-ending! The nurse who noticed the murders has rushed to the ministry.

In the investigation of the newborn gang, Taner Karataş, an intensive care nurse who worked at a hospital mentioned in the case in 2018, shared chilling details. Karataş, who stated that he left his job after realizing what was happening, said, "Everyone working in the intensive care unit knows about these actions. Sometimes even the relatives of the patients understand, but they remain silent because they have no other choice. After my complaint, inspectors from the Ministry of Health went to that hospital. The hospital, having learned about the inspection in advance, fixed everything."

CHILLING WORDS FROM AN INTENSIVE CARE NURSE

New details are emerging every day regarding the "newborn gang" that provides unfair profits by transferring newborn babies to contracted hospitals and causes the deaths of some babies. Taner Karataş, who worked as an intensive care nurse at TRG Hospitalist in Bağcılar in 2018, spoke about the ongoing process.

Statements of the Intensive Care Nurse in the Newborn Gang Investigation

"I FILED A COMPLAINT TO THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH"

Intensive care nurse Taner Karataş, who claims to know the individuals involved in the allegations and to have worked with them, said, "I am 25 years old. I worked at Hospitalist Hospital in Bağcılar in 2018. I have also worked in other closed hospitals due to external on-call duties. I know many of the mentioned individuals. We worked together and took orders from them. I was aware of this situation when I left the hospital, and that’s why I quit. I filed a complaint with the Ministry of Health. I and three of my friends noticed it in the second week and quit, and we filed a complaint."

"THE NURSE PRESENTED HIMSELF AS A DOCTOR"

Speaking about the patient transfer process, Karataş said: "The 112 Emergency Health Service calls the hospital and speaks with the doctor. In the hospital where I worked, the responsible nurse handled these matters. He presents himself as a doctor, but he was a nurse. After the responsible nurse introduced himself as a doctor, he takes the patient, and the patient's relatives recognize him as a doctor. In fact, the issue starts from the moment the patient arrives at the hospital. After the patient is received, the intensive care is not very good, and the treatment is incomplete."

Statements of the Intensive Care Nurse in the Newborn Gang Investigation

"EVEN IF THE PATIENT RECOVERS, THEY ARE NOT DISCHARGED"

The recovery process is prolonged, and even if the patient recovers, they are not discharged. They are exposed to intensive care infections, and the patient loses their life at the end of the process. I have never worked in the newborn section, but the process works the same way there. Intensive care nurses eventually dull their consciences. What matters is who you choose to be; do you want to be a killer or a healer? We knew they would be caught without a doubt, and in the end, they were caught and are serving their sentences."

"THE HOSPITAL KNEW ABOUT THE MINISTRY'S INSPECTION IN ADVANCE"

Karataş said, "I continued to work in a private hospital and left from there. Our newly graduated friends also do not want to work because these individuals are the ones who will train them. You become a member of this gang willingly or unwillingly. Everyone working in the intensive care unit knows about these actions. The cleaning staff knows, the auxiliary personnel knows, and sometimes even the relatives of the patients understand, but they do not speak up because they have no choice but to trust. After my complaint, inspectors from the Ministry of Health actually went to that hospital, but the hospital learned about the inspection beforehand and fixed everything."
