The second day of the Newborn Gang trial has begun! Here are all the details.

A total of 47 defendants, including Fırat Sarı and İlker Gönen, who caused the deaths of many babies in Istanbul, appeared before the judge for the first time yesterday, with 22 of them in custody. The first session of the trial, which will last for 5 days, is ongoing on its 2nd day.

In the first hearing held at the 21st Heavy Criminal Court of Bakırköy Courthouse, 22 detained defendants, including Fırat Sarı and İlker Gönen, 19 non-detained defendants, and the lawyers of the parties were present. Some non-detained defendants participated via the Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBİS) from the courthouses in their respective cities.

THE GANG LEADER CAME IN A JEAN JACKET

During the first day when identity verification was conducted, gang leader Fırat Sarı stated that he was single and had an average monthly income of 400,000 lira. On the 2nd day, he also took his place in the trial. Sarı's arrival in a jean jacket drew attention.
