A striking incident occurred in the library, which was put into service by Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ) 9 months ago. As pieces fell from the ceiling of the building, they landed on many students, causing outrage not only among the young people but also among the experienced educators at the school.

Prof. Dr. Sezgin Çelik, who works at Yıldız Technical University, shared photos related to the incident and called on President Erdoğan regarding the matter.

Çelik stated, "Dear Mr. President; pieces are constantly falling from the ceiling onto our students in the YTÜ library, which was inaugurated on February 29, 2024. The building is rotten, everywhere is in a disgraceful state and falling apart. Our students are studying in fear and panic. It has only been 9 MONTHS since this building was put into service, not even a year. Will no one hold accountable the administrators, contractors, and those who accepted this building?"
