Infantry Specialist Sergeant Taner Arı was martyred due to a sudden illness while serving in the operation area in northern Iraq. The funeral of the specialist sergeant, who was buried in his hometown of Solhan in Bingöl, was heartbreaking as his grieving father attended wearing slippers.
Sergeant Taner Arı, a married father of two serving in the operational area in northern Iraq under the 13th Commando Brigade Command, was martyred due to a sudden illness.
THE GOVERNOR AND DISTRICT GOVERNOR WERE THERE TOO
Arı's coffin, wrapped in the Turkish flag and taken from the Solhan State Hospital morgue, was carried on the shoulders of soldiers to the funeral vehicle, and from there it was brought to the Central Mosque in the district center for the ceremony. A funeral prayer was held for Arı here. Governor Ahmet Hamdi Usta, District Governor Adnan Doğan, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Sabri Küyük, military officials, Arı's relatives, and many citizens attended the funeral.
THE FATHER WAS NOT WEARING SHOES
After the prayer, Sergeant Taner Arı's funeral was taken to the Bazmana Cemetery in the New Neighborhood and buried with prayers. During the funeral prayer, the fact that the martyr's father was wearing slippers drew attention. Photos of that moment quickly became a topic on social media.
