Under the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, 19 agreements were signed between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. Among the signed agreements, the 'Debt Forgiveness Agreement' completely erased Kyrgyzstan's debts in a single stroke.

After the one-on-one and inter-delegation meetings held at the Presidential Palace in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, a signing ceremony for various agreements between the two countries took place.



JOINT STATEMENT SIGNED



During the ceremony, President Erdoğan and Japarov signed the "Joint Statement on Elevating the Strategic Partnership Relations between the Republic of Turkey and the Kyrgyz Republic to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Level."



The Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Security was signed by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Kyrgyz Republic Foreign Minister Ceendek Kulubayev.



The Agreement on Cooperation Regarding Animal Health, Trade of Animals and Animal Products was signed by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Kyrgyz Republic Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakıt Torobayev.



The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Migration was signed by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Kyrgyz Republic Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Cıldız Polotova.



DEBT FORGIVENESS AGREEMENT



The Debt Forgiveness Agreement and the Memorandum of Understanding on Economic and Financial Cooperation were signed by the Government of the Republic of Turkey, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, represented by the Cabinet of Ministers, by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Kyrgyz Republic Finance Minister Almaz Baketayev.



The Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Defense Industry was signed by the President of the Presidential Defense Industry Haluk Görgün and Kyrgyz Republic Defense Minister Batıbek Bekbolotov.



The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Energy, Energy Efficiency, and Energy Conservation was signed by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and Kyrgyz Republic Minister of Energy Taalaybeg İbrayev.



The Audiovisual Services Co-Production Agreement was signed by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Kyrgyz Republic Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Altınbeg Maksutov.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Kyrgyzstan to attend the 11th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Turkic States Organization (TDT), gifted Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov Turkey's domestic electric car, Togg.



During the visit, a horse was gifted to President Erdoğan by Japarov. President Erdoğan and his wife Emine Erdoğan fed the horse they liked with carrots and apples for a while.
