In order to put an end to the discussions about whether Cem Garipoğlu, the murderer of Münevver Karabulut, who was brutally killed in Istanbul in 2009, really committed suicide in prison, a new development has occurred regarding the request made to the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the exhumation of the grave (fethi kabir) and DNA matching. It has been decided to open the grave of Cem Garipoğlu, who was reported to have been found dead in Silivri Prison. The announcement was made by the lawyer of the Karabulut family, Rezan Epözdemir, on social media. Epözdemir announced today on social media that the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office accepted the requests. STRIKING DETAIL BEHIND THE EXHUMATIONAfter 10 years, the necessary reasons for the exhumation of the grave have also become a matter of curiosity for everyone. Lawyer Rezan Epözdemir explained the reasons cited by the prosecutor's office for the exhumation of Garipoğlu's grave. The celebrations and posts made by Garipoğlu's family are among the primary reasons for the exhumation. Epözdemir also stated that the family's sharing of photos taken while sitting on the couch where Münevver Karabulut was murdered and where blood traces were found contributed to the decision for the exhumation. THE COUCH WHERE MÜNEVVER WAS MURDEREDIt was noteworthy that the couch the Garipoğlu family sat on was the same as the couch in the room where Münevver Karabulut was murdered 12 years ago. In the investigation conducted by the police on the day of the incident, the blood traces detected on the couch were numbered as 42, 43, and 44. Blood traces had emerged in many places in the room. THEY DID NOT THROW AWAY THE COUCHIt was also claimed that the Garipoğlu family took the couch to the house they moved to after the incident. After followers noticed this, the photo was deleted shortly after due to their reactions.
