A car speeding on the streets of Beşiktaş, Istanbul, crashed into 4 parked cars after the driver lost control of the steering wheel during the night. A woman who was walking also got seriously injured in the accident.

SPEEDING CAR TURNS THE STREET INTO A BATTLEFIELD

The accident occurred on Fulya Deresi Street in Beşiktaş yesterday around 04:00 am. The driver of the car, speeding downhill during the night, lost control of the steering wheel. The car hit 4 parked cars and then collided with a woman walking on the road, causing it to flip over.

The woman, identified as D.K., was severely injured in the collision. The police and medical team were dispatched to the scene upon receiving reports from the public. The bystanders helped two people out of the car. The two individuals who were inside the car were unharmed, while D.K. was taken to the hospital as a seriously injured patient by the medical team.

The moment of the accident was captured by a security camera of a nearby business. In the footage, it can be seen that the car, speeding during the night, first hits the vehicles and then collides with a woman walking on the road, causing it to flip over.

"THE CAR CAME AT FULL SPEED AND HIT THE WOMAN"

Hamit Aktürk, who rushed to the scene upon hearing the accident, said, "It was around 04:00 am. There was a loud noise, like a bomb exploding or an earthquake. I looked outside and saw a car overturned. The car came at full speed. It hit the woman. The woman's head hit another car and she fell to the ground. We called an ambulance. We talked to her. One of the drivers was missing. The residents of the neighborhood helped the people out of the car."
