The Ministry of Interior announced that trustees have been appointed to the municipalities of Tunceli and Ovacık.

In a statement made by the ministry, it was noted that DEM Party's Tunceli Mayor Cevdet Konak and CHP's Ovacık Mayor Mustafa Sarıgül were sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison for the crime of "membership in the PKK/KCK terrorist organization."

THE NAMES OF THEIR REPLACEMENTS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

Tunceli Mayor Cevdet Konak, who was removed from office, was replaced by Tunceli Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, and Ovacık Mayor Mustafa Sarıgül was replaced by Ovacık District Governor Hüseyin Şamil Sözen as trustee.
