In the Gerede district of Bolu, 2-month-old baby Ela, allegedly killed by her mother by having her throat cut, was laid to rest. It was learned that in her initial statement to the police, the mother said, 'I definitely did not kill my baby. I don't know who killed her.'
A heartbreaking incident occurred yesterday at around 7:00 PM on Ramazan Dede Street in the Kitirler Neighborhood of Gerede district, Bolu.
SHE SLIT THE THROAT OF HER 2-MONTH-OLD BABY AND FLED THE HOUSE
A woman named S.C. allegedly killed her 2-month-old baby Ela by slitting her throat and then left the house. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the address upon neighbors' report. Crime scene investigation teams and the public prosecutor examined the house. After the investigation, the baby's lifeless body was taken to the hospital morgue.
DETAINED ON THE ROAD
Police teams initiated efforts to capture S.C. S.C. was detained by police teams on the D-100 highway while walking from Gerede to Yeniçağa district.
"I DEFINITELY DID NOT KILL MY BABY"
In her initial statement at the police station, S.C. denied the accusations, saying, "I definitely did not kill my baby. I did not cause my baby's death, and I don't know who killed her." S.C.'s processing at the police station continues.
BABY ELA BURIED
Ela C.'s body was handed over to her relatives after autopsy procedures. Baby Ela was laid to rest in the village cemetery in Demircisopran village, Gerede district, Bolu, after a funeral prayer. The father, Selahattin C., broke down in tears at the funeral.
