According to the claim, a student did not attend the ceremony held at the school on November 10, the Day of Commemoration of Atatürk, because he went to the doctor due to the flu. The school administration sent a notification to the student's mother, Semra Polat, asking for the reason for the student's absence from the ceremony. In a statement on social media regarding the issue, guardian Polat said, "My son Oğulcan went to the doctor due to the flu, and a medical report was issued for the dates of November 8-9. The school held a commemoration ceremony on November 10. Yesterday, the school administration spoke with my son. Today, this document was sent to me." A GROUP OF LAWYERS FILED A CRIMINAL COMPLAINTMeanwhile, a group of lawyers stated that the action taken was contrary to Article 6 of the Constitution and Article 257 of the Turkish Penal Code, and they filed a criminal complaint against the school principal for abuse of power and inciting hatred and hostility in the public.
