CAUGHT ON CAMERAThe teams of the Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau of the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch initiated an investigation regarding 4 separate bicycle thefts that occurred in a month. After examining the security camera footage, the police identified the suspect as Okan Y. It was determined that Okan Y., who was wanted for 5 other theft offenses, entered an apartment in Pınar Mahallesi on November 30 with a metal cutting tool in a bag and cut the lock that A.A. had attached to the railing of the 6th-floor stairs to steal the bicycle. "I AM MEETING MY TRANSPORTATION NEEDS"As those moments were captured on security camera, Okan Y. was caught during a raid at his home in Fatih Mahallesi. Okan Y., who was taken to the police station and found to have sold the bicycles, stated, "I have no vehicle. I meet my transportation needs with the bicycles I stole." After his procedures, Okan Y. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court he was brought before.
