In the murder of Kübra Yapıcı, who was found killed days after going missing in the Serik district of Antalya, the reconstruction footage of confessing suspect İlyas Umut Dalğar has emerged. Dalğar's cold-blooded demeanor while describing the murder step by step at the scene drew attention. The suspect said, 'He shot her in the head while she was sleeping. He poured gasoline and set her on fire. Maybe he burned her 2 or 3 times over 3-4 hours. Then we collected the pieces with a shovel. After that, we bagged them. We threw them into a swamp-like place.'
An investigation launched after Kübra Yapıcı, a resident of Antalya's Serik district, went missing following the night of April 30 at 02:00, has uncovered a murder that shook Turkey. Reviewing security cameras, teams determined that Yapıcı was seen at a cafe in Kepez with two men and left the venue with the same individuals around 04:45 AM.
Deepening the probe, teams identified that the individuals addressed each other as "Ata" and "Umut." Investigations revealed the suspects to be Ata Berk Sezen and İlyas Umut Dalğar.
HE LIED IN HIS FIRST STATEMENT
İlyas Umut Dalğar, taken into custody, stated in his initial statement that he left Kübra Yapıcı in front of an open market. However, during field work, police teams discovered that the market was closed at the time Dalğar provided. After giving contradictory statements, the suspect confessed to the murder.
In his statement, Dalğar recounted that Kübra Yapıcı was taken to a wooded area in Burdur on the pretext of a debt owed to Ata Berk Sezen, where she was shot and killed.
HE DESCRIBED THE MURDER AT THE SCENE
Reconstruction footage shows İlyas Umut Dalğar describing the murder in detail at the scene. Dalğar said, "He shot her in the head while she was sleeping. He took her phone. Then he buried her there. Then he took me all the way to Istanbul. We buried the gun on the way. Then he came back and burned her. There's even a burn mark on his arm. I didn't do anything, so I have nothing on me."
When police asked, "Did you wrap her in a blanket or something?" the suspect replied, "I only wrapped her in a carpet."

Dalğar also described how the body was attempted to be disposed of during the reconstruction. The suspect stated, "He poured gasoline, burned it. Maybe 3-4 hours here, he burned it 2 times, 3 times. Then we collected the pieces with the help of a shovel. Then we bagged them. We threw them into a swamp-like place."
Acting on the confession, teams examining the scene found burnt body parts in the forest believed to belong to Kübra Yapıcı. It was determined that some parts of the remains were thrown into dam waters.
THE OTHER SUSPECT WAS CAUGHT IN ISTANBUL
Ata Berk Sezen, identified as connected to the murder, was also apprehended and taken into custody in an operation in Istanbul. It was learned that the investigation is being conducted by the Burdur Chief Public Prosecutor's Office due to the crime scene being in Burdur.

Meanwhile, the final images of Kübra Yapıcı sitting at a cafe with Ata Berk Sezen and İlyas Umut Dalğar before the murder also emerged. The security camera footage shows the three sitting at the same table for a while, then leaving the venue together.
