PASHINYAN: WE ARE DOING THIS TO ENSURE THE CONTINUITY OF OUR STATE
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan previously stated that the issue of removing Mount Ararat from passports had never been brought up in any negotiations between Armenia and Turkey and would not be, emphasizing that this decision was entirely based on security strategy.
Pashinyan said, "The element of legitimacy in the security strategy is of key importance. We must recognize Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty within the framework of internationally recognized territories and borders. We are doing this to ensure the continuity of our state."
