Syrian Information Minister Hamza Mustafa stated in a statement made in the village of Beit Jin, which was attacked by Israel, that Israel's increasing assaults are targeting Syria's stability. The minister emphasized that Israel must withdraw from the occupied territories for a peace agreement to be reached, while expressing that the Syrian people will continue their struggle for dignity.
Syrian Information Minister Hamza Mustafa criticized the Tel Aviv administration during his visit to the village attacked by Israel, stating, "There will be no security or peace agreement as long as Israel does not withdraw from the occupied territories after December 8, 2024, and does not stop its attacks."
Minister Mustafa, along with Deputy Minister of Information Ubada Kocan, visited the village of Beit Jin in the Damascus countryside targeted by Israel, extending condolences to the families of the deceased.
"THE SYRIAN PEOPLE WILL PREFER TO FIGHT FOR THEIR HONOR"
During the visit, Mustafa emphasized that the Syrian people would prefer to fight for their honor in every situation where they are left between "dying defending their honor and accepting humiliation." Conveying condolences on behalf of the government, Mustafa prayed for mercy for those who lost their lives in the attack.
"ISRAEL'S INCREASING ATTACKS TARGET THE COUNTRY'S STABILITY"
Minister Mustafa stated, "We do not want this country to be the center of operations; on the contrary, we want to invest in its development and stability."
Pointing out that Israel's increasing attacks in recent months target the country's stability, Mustafa said, "Israel sees Syria's development as a threat to itself. However, what happened yesterday showed that the truth was not part of Israel's calculations."
Noting that Beit Jin holds symbolic importance for Syrians during the revolution, Mustafa drew attention to the region's strategic value.
Mustafa stated, "Beit Jin and this blessed area are within the government's area of interest. The state will implement the necessary projects to be present here not just in name but in practice."
"THE RESPONSE TO THE ATTACK IN BEIT JIN IS NOT JUST A MILITARY MESSAGE"
Minister Mustafa indicated that the government plans to increase its efforts in both media and development in the region, stating, "The response to the attack in Beit Jin is not just a military message; it has also changed the existing assumptions in regional politics."
Expressing that the public's united reaction marks the beginning of a new era, Mustafa said, "From now on, we believe we will achieve victory and change the political assumptions that Israel is trying to impose." He concluded his statement with, "There will be no security or peace agreement as long as Israel does not withdraw from the occupied territories after December 8, 2024, and does not stop its attacks."
