The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body imposed a total fine of 78,500 Euros on Fenerbahçe due to the incidents that occurred on the field and in the stands during the match against Viktoria Plzen. Additionally, a penalty was imposed prohibiting the sale of tickets for the away section in the next European match. This penalty will be monitored for two years. However, the penalty given for Plzen's racist banner was only one-fifth of the amount imposed on Fenerbahçe.

PENALTY OF 78,500 EUROS FOR FENERBAHÇE
UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Board has imposed a total fine of 78,500 Euros on Fenerbahçe due to the incidents that occurred during the match against Viktoria Plzen.
Additionally, Fenerbahçe has been penalized with a ban on selling tickets for the away stand in their next European match. This penalty will be monitored for two years; it will automatically come into effect at the first misconduct.
Penalties imposed on Fenerbahçe;
- Inappropriate behavior of the team: 8,000 €
- Damage to the stadium: 15,000 €
- Use of flares: 15,000 €
- Throwing objects onto the field: 25,000 €
- Discriminatory behavior: 15,000 €

PENALTY OF "15,000 EUROS" FOR PLZEN'S RACIST BANNER
The most talked-about incident of the match was the racist banner displayed in the Plzen stands. The fans exhibited a banner featuring a soldier's image with the Czech phrase "There should be a war with the Turks."
UEFA found the banner to be racist and discriminatory but only imposed a fine of 15,000 Euros. Penalties were also given for closing a section of the stands in the next home match. This penalty remained at one-fifth of the bill imposed on Fenerbahçe.
MUCH HEAVIER SANCTIONS FOR FENERBAHÇE COMPARED TO PLZEN
The difference in penalties applied by UEFA between the two teams has sparked discussions on social media and in the sports community, particularly highlighting the view that the penalty for Plzen's racist actions was "very lenient." Fenerbahçe is considering appealing the decision.
