The terrorist attack on TUSAŞ did not go unanswered: 32 targets were destroyed.

The Ministry of National Defense announced that 32 PKK targets were destroyed in air operations carried out in Iraq and Syria.

"32 TARGETS WERE SUCCESSFULLY DESTROYED"

In a written statement from the ministry, it was stated, "In order to neutralize PKK/KCK and other terrorist elements, to eliminate terrorist attacks against our people and security forces, and to ensure our border security; on October 23, 2024, an air operation was conducted against terrorist targets located in northern Iraq and Syria in accordance with our legitimate self-defense rights arising from Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. A total of 32 terrorist targets were successfully destroyed. Our air operations continue resolutely. In the conducted operations, a significant number of terrorists were neutralized using domestic and national ammunition to the maximum extent."

It was expressed in the statement, "The Turkish Armed Forces, which emerged from the heart of our noble nation, will continue to fight against terrorism with determination and resolve for the survival and security of our country and nation, just as in the past, until not a single terrorist remains. During these operations, all necessary measures have been taken to ensure that innocent civilians, friendly elements, historical and cultural assets, and the environment are not harmed."
