The terrorist in the red category, who gave instructions for 16 terrorist attacks, has been neutralized.

The so-called "Serhat Province Commander and YJA-STAR responsible" terrorist, who gave instructions for 16 actions in which we lost 29 martyrs and personally participated in these actions, was neutralized within the scope of the "GÜRZ-7" operation organized in the Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı.

The statement was made by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya on his social media account.

In his statement, Yerlikaya shared the following information:

"The so-called "Serhat Province Commander and YJA-STAR responsible" terrorist, who gave instructions for 16 actions in which we lost 29 martyrs and personally participated in these actions, was neutralized. I would like our esteemed nation to know that we are determined to eradicate these traitors from our sacred homeland. We will suffocate the terrorists one by one. Within the "GÜRZ-7" operation carried out in the rural area of Doğubayazıt in Ağrı province, the so-called "Serhat Province Commander and YJA-STAR responsible" terrorist with the code name Bervar, whose real name is Seyran Çomak, a member of the BTÖ, was neutralized.

It was determined that the terrorist neutralized in the operation carried out in the rural area of Doğubayazıt in Ağrı province was Seyran Çomak with the code name Bervar (K), who is listed in the Ministry of Interior's Wanted Terrorists List in the red category, and that he gave instructions for a total of 16 actions in which 28 security personnel and 1 civilian were martyred, and 72 security personnel and 2 civilian were injured, and personally participated in these actions. It was determined that Seyran Çomak with the code name Bervar, who was captured alive in 2018 and considered neutralized according to the statement of the BTÖ member, was neutralized in the "GÜRZ-7" operation based on the DNA test results.

As a result of the intelligence work carried out by the Ağrı Provincial Gendarmerie Command in coordination with the Intelligence Directorate of the Gendarmerie General Command and the Counterterrorism Department, and under the command and control of the Public Order Corps Command, with the participation of the Air Force Command aircraft, Atak Attack Helicopter Squadron, and UAV support belonging to the Gendarmerie General Command and the Land Forces Command, the operation was carried out in the rural area of Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı province with the participation of Gendarmerie Special Operations (JÖH), Gendarmerie Commando, and Security Guard Teams. Seyran Çomak with the code name Bervar was neutralized along with his weapon in the armed clash that occurred during the operation.
