Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor, two giants of the Super League, had applied to the Football Federation for a change in the number of foreign players.

SUPER LEAGUE GIANTS HAD OBJECTED

The increase in the number of foreign players was a topic of discussion at the recent Club Association meeting. Some clubs said, "We have prepared according to the rules. We have no problem," while Beşiktaş, Galatasaray, and Trabzonspor specifically requested an increase of 1 in the number of foreign players. After the meeting, Club Association and Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç stated, "Our Federation increased it from 12 to 14. Some clubs still have too many foreign players. It is harmful for players to be left without a contract. We will discuss this with the Federation. We emphasized that clubs without problems should support those with problems." The Turkish Football Federation Board of Directors will make a decision on Tuesday.
