Ümit Yıldırım, a salesman who came from Isparta to his village in the Dinar district of Afyonkarahisar for the holiday, lost his life along with his kindergarten-aged son Mustafa Mert Yıldırım when the tractor overturned on their way back from mushroom picking, which he had gone to with his two sons; his other son, who was seriously injured, continues treatment at the hospital.

Heartbreaking details have emerged about the tractor accident that occurred in the Dinar district of Afyonkarahisar, where a father and his son lost their lives. It was learned that Ümit Yıldırım and his son Mustafa Mert Yıldırım, who died in the accident, normally lived in Isparta and had come to their hometown village to spend the Eid al-Adha holiday.

THEY HAD GONE TO PICK MUSHROOMS

According to the information obtained, father Ümit Yıldırım, who worked as a salesperson for a company in Isparta, took his two sons with him during the holiday and went to the field on a tractor to pick mushrooms. It was reported that after the family finished picking mushrooms and started their return journey home, the tractor overturned due to loss of control.

6-YEAR-OLD KINDERGARTEN STUDENT MERT COULD NOT BE SAVED

In the tragic accident, father Ümit Yıldırım and his young son Mustafa Mert Yıldırım, who was attending Çünür Kindergarten in the central district of Isparta, died at the scene when they were trapped under the tractor.

Meanwhile, it was stated that the other child, R.Y., who was also seriously injured when trapped under the tractor in the same accident, continues intensive treatment at the hospital where he was taken. The investigation launched into the accident is ongoing.
