Claims regarding the inclusion of Syrians in the General Health Insurance (GSS) have come to the agenda. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan answered the questions of the deputies regarding the issue in the TBMM Planning and Budget Commission. "SYRIANS DO NOT CREATE A BURDEN ON THE SGK BUDGET"In response to the question, "Will Syrian refugees be included in the General Health Insurance?" Işıkhan gave the following answer: "We do not have any work regarding the inclusion of Syrians under temporary protection in the GSS. We absolutely reject the claims that the health expenses of Syrians under temporary protection are covered by the SGK budget, and therefore create a burden on the SGK budget; these claims are not true. "OUR WORKS ARE AIMED AT THE REGISTERED EMPLOYMENT OF FOREIGNERS"All our efforts are aimed at the registered employment of foreigners in our country in line with the needs of our labor market. As long as every registered employee pays their premiums, they can benefit from health services under the social security umbrella, including GSS."
